Nagaon (Assam), 19 February (HS): A man killed on the spot after being hit by a train engine in the Samaguri area of Nagaon district on Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred when the victim was taking domestic animals to provide them water and came under the impact of a train engine. He was identified as Noor Mohammad.

The mishap took place near Bagharbali village under Samaguri. On receiving information, a team of Railway Police reached the spot, took custody of the body and sent it to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the incident.----------
