Guwahati, 19 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will field its candidates for all three Rajya Sabha seats from the state in the upcoming elections. He added that the party has almost finalized the names of the candidates and is confident of securing victory on all three seats.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Sarma said the BJP is fully prepared to contest the elections for the Upper House of Parliament and expressed optimism about winning all the seats. “We will contest all three seats, and the candidates are nearly finalized. We are hopeful of winning all of them,” he stated.

The BJP, which leads the ruling alliance in Assam, currently enjoys a strong numerical position in the Assam Legislative Assembly. This strength is expected to give the party a significant advantage in the election process for the Rajya Sabha.-----------
