18 Feb (HS): On Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa's birth anniversary, Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised him as a great spiritual
teacher, an inspiration to India's saintly legacy, and a proponent of lofty
human ideals. During his political excursions to West Bengal, Yogi Adityanath
has used the legacy of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and his student Swami
Vivekananda to connect with the state's cultural and spiritual past. Yogi
Adityanath regards Ramakrishna Paramahansa as a seminal figure in Indian
spirituality, whose teachings on cosmic peace are still valid today.
In
a post on X, he mentioned, “On his birth anniversary, we pay our heartfelt
tributes to the great saint Ramakrishna Paramhansa, the devout devotee of
Mother Kali, the beacon of India's eternal spiritual consciousness, and the one
who brought the message of compassion and harmony to humanity. Swamiji's
soulful teachings and his life of spiritual practice will continue to inspire
humanity for ages to follow the path of virtue, harmony, and public welfare.”
In
another post, Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and stated,
“On his birth anniversary, we pay our respects to the great saint Chaitanya
Mahaprabhu, a supreme devotee of Lord Krishna, who awakened the spirit of
devotion, renunciation, and cultural renaissance in society through his
Harinama Sankirtan. His teachings and devotion inspire positive
awareness in society.”
