Bhubaneswar, 18 February (H.S.): On the first day of the Plus Two examinations, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Wednesday visited Ramadevi Junior College to review the overall arrangements and assess the conduct of the examination.

During the visit, the Minister examined the examination management system and took detailed stock of the facilities and procedures in place at the centre. The inspection aimed to ensure strict compliance with guidelines and smooth functioning of the examination process.

The examinations this year are being held under stringent security measures, including AI-powered CCTV surveillance. Authorities have also introduced live streaming of the process — from receipt of question papers to their opening — to maintain transparency and prevent malpractice.

Speaking after the inspection, the Minister said the examinations were being conducted peacefully and without any difficulty. Students appeared calm and relaxed, and no irregularities were reported. He noted that candidates had deposited mobile phones and electronic devices outside the hall and that prohibited items such as water bottles were not found inside the examination premises.

He added that invigilators and the centre superintendent were diligently supervising the process and that all necessary steps had been taken to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the examinations.
