Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik Expresses Concern Over Bomb Threats to District Courts


Bhubaneswar, 08 January (H.S.): Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep concern after reports emerged that district courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack and Deogarh received bomb threats via email.

In a social media post, Patnaik stated that the safety of judicial institutions, including judges, lawyers, litigants, court staff and the general public, is of paramount importance. He urged the concerned authorities to conduct a swift, thorough and appropriate investigation into the threats.

Calling for transparency and accountability, the Opposition Leader emphasized the need to trace the source of the threats, identify those involved without delay, and place the findings of the investigation in the public domain.

Appealing for calm, Shri Patnaik urged citizens to remain composed, refrain from spreading rumours, and extend full cooperation to security agencies to ensure public safety and maintain order.
