08 Jan (HS): There was a stir in the health system and political circles when
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak reached Bareilly on Thursday. Upon landing
at the airport at around 1.30 pm, he went straight to the Urban Primary Health
Center located at Pirbahoda in Izzatnagar area. Here he closely inspected the
OPD, medicine distribution counter and examination rooms. He interacted with
the patients and got to know the actual condition of treatment and facilities.
During the inspection, when he found deficiencies in some arrangements, the
Deputy Chief Minister expressed his displeasure and gave strict instructions to
the concerned officials. He said that providing better treatment and facilities
to the patients coming to government hospitals is the priority of the
government and any kind of negligence in this will not be tolerated.
After
inspecting the health center, the Deputy Chief Minister reached Shaktinagar
Colony on Pilibhit Bypass Road, where he visited the residence of the late
Faridpur MLA Professor Shyam Bihari Lal and met his family members. Describing
the late MLA as a symbol of simplicity and public service, he described his
death as an irreparable loss for the region. During this, he consoled the
family members and assured them of all possible support. The Deputy Chief
Minister paid tribute by laying flowers on the MLA's picture. The
administrative staff remained vigilant throughout the tour and strict security
arrangements were made.
