Two Killed After Unidentified Vehicle Hits Motorcycle on SH-57 in Balasore


Bhubaneswar, 18 January (H.S.): Two motorcyclists lost their lives after an unidentified vehicle allegedly rammed into their bike on State Highway-57 near Ambapunja in Odisha’s Balasore district in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as residents of Bag village under the Kamarda police station limits. The accident occurred while they were returning home from Jaleswar.

According to preliminary reports, the speeding vehicle struck the motorcycle with great force, causing both riders and their bike to be thrown off a nearby bridge along the highway. The victims reportedly fell nearly 15 feet below the bridge due to the impact.

Local residents who spotted the injured men immediately informed the police. Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
