Guwahati, 18 January (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) to be held at Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23. He will be the first Assamese Chief Minister to attend the prestigious global forum.

During the event, Dr Sarma will represent Assam and hold meetings with global industry leaders, economists and heads of international financial institutions. He is expected to present the state’s development vision, investment potential and industrial growth roadmap, besides signing several Memorandums of Understanding.

The Chief Minister’s participation is likely to give a significant boost to Assam’s investment climate and strengthen its presence on the global economic stage.---------
