Chandauli,
17 Jan (HS): Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Surya Kant, performed
the foundation stone laying and bhoomi pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of the
integrated court complex for six districts (Chandauli, Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli,
Hathras, and Auraiya) in Chandauli on Saturday in the presence of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister presented a memento to the Chief
Justice and welcomed all the judges.
On
this occasion, the Chief Minister said that for the empowerment of democracy,
it is essential that the judiciary is equally strong. The ease with which the
common man can access justice is equally essential for good infrastructure. The
Uttar Pradesh government receives any task related to the judicial system
without delay. We believe that if we want to achieve the goal of good
governance, no negligence should be spared in strengthening judicial
facilities, and Uttar Pradesh has already made excellent progress in this
regard.
A
new page is being created in the history of the judiciary: The Chief Minister
said that today is a very important day for Uttar Pradesh. A new page is being
created in the history of the judiciary. He recalled the Chief Justice of the
Supreme Court's earlier remarks, explaining that during one of his visits, he
had mentioned that for justice to be easily accessible to every citizen, it is
necessary to develop integrated models (under one roof). Inspired by the Chief
Justice, this facility is being made available in six districts of Uttar
Pradesh (Chandauli, Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli, Hathras, and Auraiya). In the next
few months, this facility will be available in four more districts. This will
be a new golden letter in India's judicial history. In Uttar Pradesh, this
initiative is being initiated by the Chief Justice.
Steps
taken towards making the infrastructure state-of-the-art since 2014: CM Yogi
said that after coming to power in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made
several reforms to achieve the goal of 'Ease of Doing Business' and 'Ease of
Living'. He took steps towards making the infrastructure state-of-the-art. We
also got inspiration from the Prime Minister. In a program in Prayagraj, the
current Chief Justice had said that the court complexes should also be
integrated, on this we started work within UP. As the Chief Justice of
Allahabad High Court, Bindal ji gave positive cooperation and the UP government
simultaneously approved for integrated court complexes in 10 districts (where
there were no district courts of their own).
No
more broken chambers, advocates will have chambers in high-rise buildings: The
CM said that in the first phase, funds have been released for six districts
including Chandauli. With the design being approved, all the formalities have
been completed. Now the construction work will be done by world-renowned
organizations like L&T. Here, under one roof, there will be facilities like
court complex, good chambers for advocates, accommodation for judicial
officers, canteen, parking, sports etc. The CM said that when a litigant used
to go to the chamber of an advocate fighting for justice, he used to see the
sun, but now there will be chambers in high-rise buildings, not broken
chambers.
CM
Yogi said that we want such court complexes in every district. Currently, we
are starting it as a pilot project in six districts. The government has no
shortage of funds; you will get full support from the government. Public
representatives and lawyers of Chandauli used to protest continuously, I called
the Bar Association to Lucknow and told them that this has been approved. You
contribute to judicial work. Now, in collaboration with the High Court, this
work will move forward soon. Senior Supreme Court Justice Vikram Nath, Justice
Pankaj Mithal, Justice Manoj Mishra, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Chief Justice of
Allahabad High Court Arun Bhansali and Senior Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi
etc. were present in the foundation stone laying and Bhoomi Pujan program.
