
Chhatrapati Samnhajinagar, 17 Jan (HS): “We have to
make a strong society with good character and values, for which the beginning should
be from the self. The responsibility of bring about the desired change in
Bharat is the responsibility of the Hindu community” said RSS Sarsanghachalak
Dr Mohan Bhagwat.
Dr Bhagwat was speaking during the Hindu Sammelan,
organised by Hindu Sammelan Samiti Gangapur aimed at preservation and promotion
of Hindu Dharma tradition and culture and values embedded in it. Mahant Ramgiri
Maharaj, Jagadguru Shree Shree 1008 Shantigiri Maharaj, Gatha Murti Rambhau
Maharaj Raut, MLA Prashant Bamb were prominent among those present.
With the goals of participation of every single unit
of Hindu community in generating awareness about Hindu Dharma and promoting
national spirit the Sammelan was organised.
Dr Bhagwat said that that for achieving equality
everyone will have to work actively by developing friendly relations with
individuals of every caste, religion and sects, acquire knowledge about other’s
tradition, religious belief and culture and respect them. The values of
equality and respecting dignity of everyone should be demonstrated by own’s
behaviour. Dr Bhagwat also appealed to make maximum use of indigenous goods to
make the nation self-reliant.
Ramgiri Maharaj sought attention towards atrocities against
Hindus in Bangladesh. President of the organising committee Krishnaji Manal
presented a vote thanks. The programme ended with recitation of ‘pasaydaan’.
