Jammu, 17 January (H.S.): Another tragedy has been reported from Rajouri district following the declaration of Class 10 examination results, where a 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after failing in one subject.

Official sources said the deceased, identified as Saima Kouser daughter of Mohammad Rafiq, was resident of Shahpur, Kotranka in Rajouri district. Preliminary information revealed that the teenager took the extreme step after learning that she had not cleared one paper in her Class 10 examination.

Family members said Saima was under visible stress following the announcement of the results, though no one anticipated such a tragic outcome.

Meanwhile police has taken cognizance of the matter and after conducting postmortem and other legal formalities dead body was handed over to the family.
