Moradabad,
15 Jan (HS): The Congress will not decide with whom the volunteers of the
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will communicate. Dr. Pawan Kumar Jain, the
departmental publicity chief of the Moradabad division of the RSS, said this
while talking to journalists on Thursday. Dr. Pawan Kumar Jain further said
that the noise raised by Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera over the meeting of
RSS workers with people associated with the Communist Party of China actually
highlights the fear of history more than dialogue. Questioning whom the RSS met
and whom it did not meet is an extension of the same mentality of the Congress
in which it has been considering itself the sole contractor of patriotism.
First of all, it should be clear that the decision with whom the RSS workers
will communicate will not be taken by Pawan Khera or the Congress party.
Head
of Publicity Department said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is a legal,
transparent, and socio-cultural nationalist organization engaged in social
service, cultural awareness, and ideological dialogue in more than 60 countries
around the world, including India. Dialogue is not an acceptance of any
ideology, but a proof of self-confidence. If the Congress party objects to any
contact with China, it should first look at its own history. In 1961, just
before the India-China war, the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, in
reference to Aksai Chin, said in Parliament, Not even a blade of grass
grows there. This statement reflects a mindset that viewed national
territory in isolation from its strategic importance.
Dr.
Jain explained that history bears witness that during the Congress regime;
India lost approximately 38,000 square kilometers of land. The party that lost
the country's land has no moral right to question nationalism today. Regarding
understanding the RSS's workings, Pawan Khera must understand that the RSS
cannot be understood through a telescope. To understand it, one must go to an
RSS branch and see it firsthand, not through TV studios or rhetoric. This is
where nation-building is done in the open, with an open mind. Dialogue is not
treason. However, concealing historical mistakes and feigning nationalism is
certainly an injustice to the nation.
