Sonitpur (Assam), 15 January (HS): Amrita Kshetri, a young resident of Ward No. 1 of Kherni Basti in Rangapara town of Sonitpur district, has received a special invitation from Rashtrapati Bhavan to attend the main Republic Day Celebrations to be held in New Delhi on January 26. The official invitation letter from Rashtrapati Bhavan was formally handed over to her at her residence by the Postal Inspector of Tezpur division.
Amrita Kshetri had been allotted a government house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) through Rangapara Municipality during the year 2022–23. Despite belonging to a poor family, she made exemplary use of the government assistance by adding her own limited savings and constructing the house in a well-planned and aesthetically pleasing manner, without any misuse of funds.
Impressed by the proper utilization of the scheme and the beautiful construction of the house, Rashtrapati Bhavan has specially invited Amrita Kshetri to the Republic Day Celebrations, where President Droupadi Murmu will honour her.
On this occasion, Ward Commissioner of Rangapara Ward No. 1 Swapan Dhar and Assam Pradesh BJP member Anirban Bhattacharyya felicitated Amrita Kshetri with a traditional phulam gamocha and extended their congratulations and best wishes.-----------
