Leh, 15 January (H.S.): The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh has relieved Director General of Police Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, and Superintendent of Police Shruti Arora, from their duties following separate orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

As per the orders, Dr Jamwal, a 1995-batch AGMUT cadre officer, has been relieved as DGP Ladakh with effect from January 8, 2026 (afternoon) and directed to report to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for further posting.

In another order, Shruti Arora, a 2018-batch AGMUT cadre officer serving as SP at Police Headquarters Ladakh, has been relieved from the Union Territory with effect from January 14, 2026 (afternoon) on her transfer to the Government of Goa, where she has been directed to report for further duties.
