Lucknow,

15 Jan (HS): Mayawati, the president of the BSP, stated on Thursday that her

party will fight all elections throughout the country, including the 2027 UP

Assembly elections, and that it will establish government with a full majority in

the state. Mayawati told during presser in Lucknow on her 70th birthday that

the party had determined it was more appropriate to fight all minor and large

elections on its alone and would not form any type of coalition with any other

party. This should be clear to everyone. She stated that the Bahujan Samaj

Party (BSP) will run in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections alone.

She,

however, warned that in the future, if the party were totally confident that an

alliance partner could successfully shift its support, particularly of upper

castes, to the BSP - A favorable choice to run elections in an alliance might

be made, albeit she stated that such a situation would take years to

materialize.

Mayawati

declared that the people of Uttar Pradesh were once again inclined to bring the

BSP back to power in 2027, citing the party's four prior spells in government.

She stated that party workers were actively committed in ensuring the emergence

of a BSP administration with a full majority in the next Assembly elections. She

attacked the BJP, Congress, and other caste-based parties, claiming that the

BSP will respond appropriately by forming the party's fifth government in Uttar

Pradesh. The BSP president also expressed reservations about electronic voting

machines (EVMs), claiming that manipulation and dishonesty have occurred in

previous elections, but stated that her party will continue to fight elections

across the nation at full strength.
