Latur, 15 Jan (HS): A
major twist is likely to be experienced following complaint against 41 candidates.
Former corporator Prakash Pathak has lodged a complaint with the State Election
Commission that the 41 candidates were involved in corruption during their last
tenure. Pathak has demanded that they should be held ineligible to contest the
elections and action against them should be initiated. The complaint was filed to
Latur Revenue Commissioner Manasi Meena, but no action was taken by the
commissioner, Pathak has alleged.
Pathak said that he will move the court, if action
against those named by him is not taken.
The list includes Vikrant Gujamgunde (Prabhag 5),
Sachin Maske (Prabhag 7), Pravinkumar Ambulgekar (Prabhag 11), Adv Deepak
Mathpati (Prabhag 15), Ajay Kokate and Girish Patil (Prabhag 16) and others.
Meanwhile, Meena stated that Pathak had made the
complaint earlier and has been disposed off on December 29. He was informed
about the decision.
