
Mumbai, January 11 (HS): Campaigning for the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) elections has intensified with meetings, rallies and door-to-door outreach in full swing, as candidates of all political parties are working round the clock to reach voters.
In this sequence, Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) candidate from VVCMC ward number 9, Nilesh Damodar Deshmukh, carried out an extensive campaign and was seen accompanied by a large number of supporters. Addressing voters, Deshmukh said he was committed to the development of the area and dedicated to public service. He stated that the people walking with him step by step were his real strength.
Reassuring voters, Deshmukh said he would never let them down and expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to him over the years to serve the public. He asserted that the journey of development and trust would continue in the future as well.
During the campaign, Deshmukh also sought votes for other candidates from his panel, including Vinod Harishchandra Jadhav, Suman Kiran Kakade and Rupali Sunil Patil. He appealed to voters to support all BVA candidates by voting for the party’s election symbol and ensure their victory with a clear majority.
Similarly, Vinod Harishchandra Jadhav also conducted an intensive campaign along with his supporters, with party leaders and a large number of local residents present.
It may be noted that elections are to be held for all 115 seats of the VVCMC, with the main contest being seen between the BVA and the BJP. Polling will take place on January 15, while counting of votes is scheduled for January 16.
