11 Jan (HS): The 72nd Senior

National Volleyball Championship, organized under the auspices of the Municipal

Corporation, will conclude on Sunday at the Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Stadium in

Sigra, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Both Deputy Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav

Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, will be present as chief guests at the

closing ceremony and final matches. They will honor the winning teams and best

players.

The

first team in both the men's and women's categories will receive a cash prize

of Rs. 2.50 lakh each. The

second-place team will receive Rs. 1.50 lakh each, and the third-place

team will receive Rs. 1 lakh each. In addition, players will receive shields,

medals, and certificates. The best players in the men's and women's categories

will be awarded special prizes.

According

to the organizing committee's chairman and mayor, Ashok Kumar Tiwari, and

secretary, Sarvesh Pandey, the players selected in the categories of Best

Attacker, Best Blocker, Best Setter, Best Universal, Best Libero, and Most

Valuable Player will receive cash prizes of Rs. 11,000 each. Prime Minister

Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the competition on January 4.
