The Eastern Command of the Indian Army successfully organised the Shaurya Conclave: Strategic Communication and the Evolving Cognitive Domain in Kolkata. The conclave brought together senior Army officers, eminent academicians, seasoned journalists and experts in strategic communication to deliberate on the role of information and communication in today’s complex security environment.
During various sessions of the conclave, speakers shared their insights and experiences, offering a balanced perspective that combined operational military experience, academic understanding and media practices. The discussions provided participants with a deeper understanding of the evolving information landscape and its impact on national security.
On the occasion, the Indian Army reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparent, timely and credible engagement with the media. It was emphasised that the media plays a crucial role as a bridge between the soldier and the citizen. Platforms such as the Shaurya Conclave reflect the Army’s resolve to strengthen strategic communication, promote informed public discourse and safeguard the cognitive and information domains in the interest of national security.
