Gorakhpur, 04 Aug

(HS): A 13-year-old

kid from Gorakhpur fled his family to become a seer after being inspired by

spiritual master Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj of Vrindavan.

The youngster, identified as Aman Dubey, son of Amarnath Dubey, was discovered

at a ghat in Varanasi following a police-led search that included CCTV video

and surveillance.

I wish to emulate Sant Premanand Maharaj. That's why I left home. After being

rescued, Aman informed the police that he arrived to Varanasi with the

intention of staying at a temple for a few days before moving to Mathura to

seek asylum.

Aman, a native of Bimutia village in Barhalganj police station, departed for

school on August 1 as normal but did not come home. When he did not return home

by 8 p.m., his concerned family members initiated a search and eventually filed

a missing report the next day. Police began reviewing CCTV video from

neighboring locations, such as bus stops and train stations. In one of the clips, Aman is seen boarding a

train from Dohrighat to Varanasi. His

photograph was shared with the GRP and local police in Varanasi, who eventually

located him at a ghat, according to authorities. The GRP handed him over to

Childline, the local child protection agency.

His parents, escorted by Gorakhpur police, headed for Varanasi on Monday

to bring him home, according to police. According to Aman's father, he was

heavily inspired by spiritual talks and would frequently watch videos of Sant

Premanand on social media. He never told us anything, but the teachings

inspired him greatly, according to Amarnath Dubey, a furniture dealer. The SHO

of the Barhalganj police station, Chandrabhan Singh, stated that the youngster

is safe and would be sent home shortly.
