Nagpur, 04 Aug (HS): A
serious incident has come to light from the Chandrapur’s Tadoba-Andhari Tiger
Reserve buffer zone involving the famous tiger “Chhota Matka.” The tiger
sustained severe injuries after a territorial fight with another well-known
tiger called “Brahma.” During the clash, “Brahma” died, and “Chhota Matka”
suffered a deep cut on his leg, causing heavy bleeding.
Following the fight,
the injured tiger was spotted by tourists limping with blood flowing from its
wounded leg. Forest authorities were informed by the visitors. For treatment
and recovery, the tiger has been kept under close observation in his natural
habitat rather than being relocated.
Officials have been
monitoring “Chhota Matka’s” movements to ensure his safety and recovery.
Although there were initial hopes of improvement, recent visuals show the tiger
still struggling to walk, barely managing to place his injured leg on the
ground. His condition indicates he is in a fragile state, and forest teams are
maintaining constant vigilance over his activities.
