Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Slams Rahul Gandhi After Supreme Court Rebuke

Bhubaneswar, 4 August (H.S.): Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following strong observations made by the Supreme Court regarding his alleged remarks on the Indian Army and national security.

In a post shared on social media, Pradhan wrote, “If you were a true Indian, you would never have made such a statement!” He referred to the Supreme Court’s sharp questioning of Rahul Gandhi’s claim that China had occupied 2,000 km of Indian territory.

According to Pradhan, the apex court directly questioned the credibility of Rahul Gandhi’s statements, asking, “Were you there? Do you have any evidence?” The court also noted that being the leader of the opposition does not give anyone the right to make unsubstantiated claims, especially on matters of national security.

Terming the court's remarks as “historic,” Pradhan said it was the first time in India’s parliamentary history that such stern comments were made by the Supreme Court against a leader of the opposition.

The Union Minister accused Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party of consistently undermining the armed forces. “Whether it was the surgical strikes or Operation Sindoor, Rahul Gandhi has questioned the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers on every occasion,” Pradhan said.

He further alleged that the Congress party’s loyalty lies not with the nation, but with one particular family. “Respect for the nation is not part of their core ideology,” he added.

Pradhan concluded by saying that the entire country is deeply hurt by what he described as an “anti-national mindset” and expects both Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party to issue an apology.

The controversy follows recent remarks attributed to Rahul Gandhi concerning territorial integrity and military operations, which led to intense criticism and political uproar.
