Bhubaneswar, 4 August (H.S.) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik expressed deep condolences on the passing of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder, Shibu Soren.

CM Majhi conveyed his grief, stating, “Deeply saddened by the passing of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren ji. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath grant peace to his departed soul and strength to the bereaved family. Om Shanti.”

Echoing the sentiment, opposition leader Naveen Patnaik highlighted Soren’s contributions to tribal welfare, saying, “Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and founder of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Shibu Soren. He was a prominent tribal leader and will be remembered for his dedication to fight for the rights of the tribal and marginalised people. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, friends, and followers in the hour of grief.”

Shibu Soren, a towering figure in tribal politics, leaves behind a legacy of struggle and advocacy for indigenous rights in eastern India. His demise marks the end of an era in regional politics.
