Guwahati, 04 August (HS): Panic broke out at a prominent cinema hall in Guwahati on Sunday night when a portion of the ceiling suddenly collapsed during a movie screening. The incident occurred at the Panisia PVR cinema hall during the screening of the film Mahavatar Narsingh.

According to eyewitnesses, a large section of the ceiling fell without warning while the film was in progress. At least three people were reportedly injured after debris from the collapse struck them on the head.

Several children were also present in the hall at the time, intensifying the chaos and fear among the audience. The screening was immediately halted, and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Following the incident, the cinema hall has been temporarily closed. Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
