Kamrup (Assam), 04 August (HS): A new milestone in Assam’s tourism sector will be marked today as Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is all set to inaugurate the newly developed Saraighat Lake Park at Amingaon, the district headquarters of Kamrup (Rural), near Guwahati.

Developed by the Assam Tourism Department, the park features several modern attractions designed to boost tourism in the region. Among the highlights is a high-end speed boat “Jet Ski” imported from the United States, reportedly worth several crores of rupees, which will now be operational in the historic Saraighat Lake.

In addition to the Jet Ski, the park offers a variety of water adventure activities including Aqua Cycle, Aqua Roller, Kayak, Bumper Boat, and Zorbing Ball. These attractions are expected to significantly enhance the recreational experience for visitors.

The park had been operating on a pilot basis for the past few days and is now being officially inaugurated. Authorities hope that Saraighat Lake Park will soon emerge as a key destination on Assam’s tourism map..
