Bhubaneswar, 3 August (H.S.) Odisha Vigilance today launched simultaneous searches at six different locations associated with Sri Golap Chandra Hansdah, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI), Boudh, on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) to his known sources of income. The raids are being carried out based on search warrants issued by the Hon'ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada.
A team comprising 4 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 7 Inspectors, and other supporting staff is conducting the coordinated searches across multiple districts including Mayurbhanj, Boudh, and Khordha.
The locations under scrutiny include: the residential house of Sri Hansdah at Prafulla Nagar in Baripada, his rented house in Boudh, his office chamber at the RTO office in Boudh, his paternal house at village Gudidiha under Khunta Police Station in Mayurbhanj, a rented flat of his daughter located in Pandara, Bhubaneswar, and the house of a close associate at Baghdiha, Ward No. 28, Baripada.
The operation is currently underway, and further details regarding the recovery and valuation of assets are awaited as the search progresses.
