Hamirpur, 03 Aug (HS): In view of the devastation caused
by the floods of Yamuna and Betwa rivers in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh,
Jal Shakti Minister of Yogi Government Swatantra Dev Singh arrived here by
helicopter on Sunday and surveyed the flood-affected areas. He took stock of
the administration's arrangements by inquiring about the well-being of the
victims taking shelter in flood relief camps. He said that the administration
has made very good arrangements for the flood victims.
Floods in Yamuna and Betwa rivers have
caused havoc in dozens of villages. More than five thousand people have been accommodated
in the relief camps of the administration along with their cattle. A large
number of flood victims have camped in the field near the highway and
Chauradevi temple. Recently, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Ramkesh Nishad had
inspected the relief camps in view of the devastation caused by the floods. The
minister had reached the people trapped in the flood-affected villages and
listened to their problems. After this, on Sunday, Yogi Government’s cabinet
minister Swatantra Dev Singh came by helicopter and inspected the
flood-affected areas in Hamirpur. He reached the administration's relief camps
and inquired about the administration's arrangements from the flood victims. He
also distributed lunch packets to the victims.
The minister said that the government is
providing all possible help in this crisis. Regarding the arrangements of the
flood relief camp, he said that hot food is being provided to the flood victims
here, which is of good quality. On this occasion, DM Ghanshyam Meena, SP Dr.
Diksha Sharma, ADM Finance Vijay Shankar Tiwari, Sadar MLA Dr. Manoj Prajapati
along with other officials and public representatives were present
