Jammu, 3 August (H.S.): Kala Kendra here today organized the programme ‘Meet the Artist’ with eminent visual artist Neelam Mohile.

The event witnessed the presence of artists, writers and intellectuals from the region.

Welcoming the guests, Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary Kala Kendra, stated that primary objective of the programme was to provide young visual art students and budding artists an opportunity to interact with a distinguished artist of national and international repute.

He highlighted that Neelam Mohile is an alumnus of Sir J.J. School of Applied Art, Mumbai and has also received professional training in Photography and Computer Graphics from USA.

During interaction, Neelam Mohile shared her vast experiences in the field of art and photography.

She acknowledged the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in visual arts but emphasized that the core of creativity still belongs to imaginative and innovative minds.

She encouraged artists to travel, explore nature and document heritage through their creative arts.

Those who spoke on the occasion were Rakesh Sharma, Head of Fine Arts Department, Institute of Music and Fine Arts, University of Jammu and faculty members Jaswant Singh, Rohit Verma, Ankush Kesar, Dr. Rachita Datta and Dr. Palak Gandotra.

Rita Khadyal, Editor Dogri; Sanjeev Gupta, Special Officer for Cultural Activities and Anil Tickoo, Cultural Officer from J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages also participated in interactions.
