Dharmendra Pradhan Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Remarks on Arun Jaitley, Demands Apology

Bhubaneswar, 2 August (H.S.) Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has strongly criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of crossing all boundaries of public decorum and making insensitive and baseless statements involving late BJP stalwart and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley.

In a scathing social media post, Pradhan condemned Gandhi for dragging the name of Arun Jaitley into a debate surrounding the farm laws, calling it an attempt to further his own political agenda by distorting facts.

“Rahul Gandhi has completely shattered the basic norms of public conduct. Arun Jaitley ji is no longer with us, yet Rahul’s immature and petty mindset has led him to propagate lies using Jaitley ji’s name, ignoring the facts related to the farm laws,” Pradhan wrote.

He pointed out that the farm laws were introduced in Parliament in 2020, while Arun Jaitley had passed away in August 2019. “To associate Jaitley ji with the farm legislation is not just false but deeply insensitive,” he added.

Calling Gandhi’s remarks “opportunistic, hateful, and filled with fiction,” the Union Minister said that the Congress party continues to show a lack of empathy and has turned its so-called “shop of love” into a platform of divisive rhetoric.

“Rahul Gandhi’s language is far removed from the conduct expected of a dignified public figure. He seems to have forgotten how to behave and speak on public platforms,” Pradhan stated.
