Bhubaneswar, 2 August (H.S.): All post offices across several districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Balasore, and parts of the Jeypore Circle, will remain closed today as the Department of Posts conducts a scheduled one-day shutdown to implement a significant software upgrade.
According to an official statement from the Bhubaneswar Postal Division, the temporary suspension of services is part of a broader initiative to enhance operational efficiency through the deployment of a new system — Advanced Postal Technology 2.0. The upgrade aims to resolve long-standing technical issues impacting both employees and customers.
“All post offices under the division, including those in Khordha, will be non-operational for the day,” the release stated, adding that the new software is designed to streamline workflow and improve service delivery across the network.
