Guwahati, 02 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has lauded the Tamulpur-based Skill Development Centre, calling it a transformative force in empowering the youth. In a Facebook post shared on Saturday, the CM described the centre as a “beacon of hope” for young people across the state.
Dr. Sarma highlighted the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through skill development, emphasizing the importance of equipping youth with technical knowledge to make them self-reliant. “We are not only focusing on urban areas but are also creating a conducive environment for skill training in rural regions,” he wrote.
The Chief Minister added that the Tamulpur Skill Centre has revived the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Assam’ and is sending a strong message of hope to the younger generation. “The way we are training the youth is revolutionary. Through such initiatives in both cities and villages, we aim to impact lives meaningfully,” he said.
