Chennai, 2 August (H.S.): In a tragic incident, Mahesh D Dharmadhikari (57), the Regional Director of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), was found dead at his residence in Anna Nagar, Chennai. The discovery was made on Friday, and police confirmed the incident on Saturday.

According to police officials, Dharmadhikari was found unresponsive inside his home, prompting immediate concern from local authorities and acquaintances. Emergency services were alerted, but he was declared dead at the scene.

A senior police officer stated that Dharmadhikari had been living alone, and no signs of foul play were immediately observed. Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the cause of death, and further details are awaited pending post-mortem examination.
