New Delhi, August 16(HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended heartfelt thanks to several world leaders for their thoughtful greetings on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, underscoring New Delhi’s enduring spirit of friendship and its growing stature on the global stage.

Responding to congratulatory messages from his counterparts and international dignitaries, the Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s strong bonds with partner nations while setting a tone of hope, peace, and prosperity for the times ahead.

In his reply to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had conveyed warm wishes on the historic occasion, Prime Minister Modi emphasized New Delhi’s commitment to nurturing bilateral ties. PM Modi noted that India “deeply values the joint commitment” to building closer relations with Ukraine and conveyed sincere wishes for a future of “peace, progress and prosperity” for the Ukrainian people.

Similarly, in a gesture reflecting India’s deep-rooted partnership with Israel, the Prime Minister responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s greetings with warm words laden with optimism. PM Modi extended gratitude to Netanyahu, highlighting the strong synergy between the people of the two democracies. He expressed confidence that India–Israel ties would continue to flourish and evolve, bringing “peace, development, and security” to both nations.

The exchanges showcased not only India’s rising diplomatic goodwill but also the Prime Minister’s characteristic emphasis on international solidarity.
