New Delhi, August 15(HS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, has extolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on the 79th Independence Day as a comprehensive blueprint encapsulating the remarkable progress of the past eleven years, the resilience of the present, and a visionary strategy for a prosperous India ahead.

In a series of posts on the social media platform X, Amit Shah underscored the Prime Minister’s emphatic commitment to national security through initiatives such as the successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terrorists, ‘Mission Sudarshan Chakra’ aimed at fortifying critical national infrastructure with cutting-edge technology by 2035, and the resolute ‘High-Powered Demography Mission’ to achieve an infiltrator-free India. These strategic undertakings, he affirmed, exemplify the government’s unwavering resolve to bolster the country's strength and sovereignty.

Highlighting the relentless support for farmers, the Home Minister pointed to PM Modi’s clarion call for self-reliance in critical sectors including nuclear energy, critical minerals, space technology, energy, and indigenous jet engine development. This multi-sectoral self-sufficiency drive is pivotal in reinforcing India’s strategic autonomy.

Further elevating hopes among India’s youth and entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister announced the launch of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana,’ provisioning ₹1 lakh crore to incentivize private-sector employment. Under this scheme, first-time private-sector employees will receive ₹15,000, while companies scaling job creation will obtain additional incentives—benefiting an estimated 3.5 crore youth and catalyzing the nation’s journey toward economic self-reliance.

Also unveiled were the Next-Gen Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, slated for rollout by the forthcoming Diwali festival. Termed a ‘Diwali gift to the nation,’ these reforms are expected to considerably alleviate the tax burden on small enterprises and make essential commodities more affordable, thereby invigorating economic growth and steering India toward its ambition of becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Amit Shah paid tribute to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), acknowledging its century-long legacy of nation-building and its foundational values of service, discipline, and dedication. The Prime Minister’s recognition of the RSS’s enduring contribution spotlighted the organization’s significant role in shaping India’s socio-cultural and developmental landscape.

Concluding his reflections, the Union Home Minister reiterated that Prime Minister Modi’s Independence Day address was not merely a review of achievements but a clarion call and blueprint for securing India’s stature as a formidable global power—economically robust, strategically invincible, and socially inclusive. The government’s holistic approach, spanning security, economic empowerment, and social development, sets the stage for a new era of national resurgence.
