New Delhi, August 15 (H.S.) : On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation from the historic Red Fort, announced the launch of a High-Power Demographic Mission — a strategic initiative aimed at addressing deliberate demographic shifts and protecting the nation’s socio-cultural balance.

The Prime Minister asserted that orchestrated attempts to alter population patterns pose a “grave threat” to India’s unity and integrity. He warned that such acts not only deprive local communities of their rightful opportunities but also sow seeds of tension and discord in society.

“India will never tolerate efforts to engineer demographic imbalances,” he said, stressing that demographic security in border regions will be given utmost priority under this mission.

Reminding citizens of the sacrifices that paved the way for India’s freedom, PM Modi underscored the nation’s responsibility toward its forefathers and freedom fighters: “It is our solemn duty never to accept any form of demographic distortion that undermines the foundations of our Republic.”

The High-Power Demographic Mission will operate with clear timelines and a meticulously crafted strategy, ensuring vigilant measures to protect the country’s borders and preserve the demographic harmony of vulnerable regions.
