Delhi, 31 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X praised Home Minister Amit Shah's response in the Rajya Sabha regarding Operation Sindoor, calling it phenomenal and highlighting the government's stance on national security and the eradication of terror networks. He also commended External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s exceptional speech.He wrote on X,EAM Dr. Jaishankar Ji’s exceptional speech in the Rajya Sabha emphasised India’s efforts to make terrorism a subject of global attention. He also talked about India’s fitting response through Operation Sindoor and how we are furthering the safety of our citizens.
PM Modi underscored India's commitment to making terrorism a global issue and noted the government's efforts to enhance citizen safety through Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha resumed their sessions, although proceedings were disrupted due to opposition protests demanding discussion on the Bihar voter list.
Lok Sabha was temporarily adjourned until 2 pm, and Rajya Sabha faced similar interruptions before resuming discussions on Operation Sindoor, amid strong opposition slogans. Furthermore, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced the nomination of N K Premachandran from Kerala to preside over House proceedings, emphasizing procedural rules. Both houses experienced significant opposition activity during these sessions, reflecting tensions over the Bihar SIR issue.
