Lucknow,
30 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that before to 2017, the UP
market was saturated with Chinese products during festivals. Today, more ODOP (One District One Product)
items are sold than Chinese items. Even
before 2017, ODOP was widespread in the state, but the administrations at the
time couldn't grasp it since nepotism was crucial. Those folks had been part of
a plan to shut down the state's MSME sectors, but today the government is
assisting the youth in becoming entrepreneurs. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
made these remarks during a youth conference held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan
in Lucknow.
He
said that Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana has now become a means of giving jobs
to the youth. It felt great to hear the success story. This is a scheme whose
interest and guarantee is being given by the government. The government is also
giving the benefit of 10% margin money. The result of this is that Rs. 2751
crore were given to 68000 youth. This is the potential of UP. There are lakhs
of such youth in UP, who are working in different sectors.
He
said that universities have become like islands. They do not have information
about the state and central schemes. The youth coming out from there stands at
the crossroads and is confused, then takes a loan without information but due
to lack of knowledge, gets burdened with debt. Those who have knowledge do not
have money. The solution to all such problems is CM Yuva Yojana. MoUs have been
done with universities so that the students studying there can get the benefits
of state and central schemes.
Before
this, CM Yogi has launched the Youth Conclave and Expo 2025. This two-day youth
conclave will open the doors of entrepreneurship for lakhs of youth of the
state. In this, franchisees, financial institutions, industrial brands, policy
makers, trainers and investors will be present on the same platform.
Addressing
the program, Additional Chief Secretary Alok Kumar said that CM Yuva Udyami
Abhiyan is a concept to connect employment with youth. It was launched a year
ago and such a tremendous response was not expected. We are giving 150 new
ideas today. These are successful business ideas which can be started with five
lakh rupees. Under this campaign, youth will be connected with business ideas.
The university has been connected for the first time, whose 1100 students have
come today, who will become entrepreneurs. Rooftop solar maintenance enterprise
will also be started from today. He said that our target is to create 10 lakh
entrepreneurs in the next one year. Commissioner and Director of Industries K.
Vijayendra Pandian said that this conclave has been designed as a one stop
business platform where the entire journey from idea to starting a venture has
been simplified.
