(HS): A senior police official stated on Thursday that two murder suspects were
apprehended after a confrontation with police here. Both were shot in the legs
during the confrontation on late Wednesday night. Police seized illicit guns,
ammo, and a motorbike from their possession. Superintendent of Police (Rural)
Rakesh Kumar Mishra stated that a police squad performing checks on the
Mawana-Phalavada route attempted to halt the two riders on a motorbike. The two
opened fire on the cops. Two people were injured as a result of the retaliatory
fire. Suhail alias Devil and Ballu alias Zia Mehndi were the arrested suspects.
They are carrying bounty of Rs 25,000 apiece on their heads. Sunil, a
37-year-old man, was murdered on July 15, and the two were wanted for it. According
to the FIR in the case, four suspects have been identified. The two other suspects who have fled are
being sought.
