Bhubaneswar, July 30 (H.S.): On Wednesday morning, Ms. Parul Patwari formally assumed charge as the Director of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), Government of Odisha.

On the occasion, Additional Secretary of the department, Ms. Sonia Behera, welcomed Ms. Patwari with a bouquet. The event was attended by Financial Advisor and Independent Secretary Ms. Jayashree Tripathy, Additional Secretaries Mr. Bhaskar Raitao and Mr. Deepak Rautaray, along with several other senior officials.

After taking charge, Ms. Patwari interacted with department officials and staff, familiarizing herself with key programmes and initiatives. She emphasized the importance of accountability, collaboration, and a service-oriented approach in delivering welfare to the people.

Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Patwari served as the District Collector of Rayagada.
