Srinagar, 30 July (H.S.): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has directed all officers and officials stationed in Srinagar and Jammu to attend the main Independence Day celebrations on August 15 as part of their official duty.

According to a circular issued by the General Administration Department, the main functions will be held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.

“No absence will be allowed without prior permission,” read the circular.

As such, the Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Public Sector executives have been asked to ensure full participation of staff under their control.
