Remove all deficiencies within a month, Edn Minister to Pharma colleges

Mumbai, 30 July (HS): The admissions to the first year B

Pharm and D Pharma will be stopped if the institutions conducting the courses

fail to fulfil all the required parameters. Minister for Higher and Technical

Education Chandrakant Patil issued the warning and directed all the

institutions to remove the deficiencies within a month.

Patil chaired a high-level meeting to review the

preparedness of institutions conducting pharmaceutical sciences programmes approved

between 2022 and 2025. The orders to provide all the mandatory facilities as

per the rules was issued earlier. The facilities include teaching and non-teaching

staff, laboratories, classrooms, a library, hostels, etc. The standards have been

finalised by the Pharmacy Council of India. The institutions causing loss to

the students for want of the facilities, will face action, Patil said. The

government will support the institutions that have fulfilled all the parameters,

he added.
