Ghaziabad, 30 July
(HS): An instance of love jihad was discovered on Wednesday in the Indirapuram
police station area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Family members of missing girl
protested outside the Abhay Khand police station over this. These individuals
demanded the return of the missing girl. The family members claim that a young
man from Muslim community kidnapped their daughter and that this is a clear
example of love jihad. Police said the case is being investigated. However,
this girl had previously dated a young man named Akbar. This case is from
Makanpur village in the Indirapuram police station area, when a young guy named
Akbar took a female from another community with him.
On the complaint
of the family, the police recovered the girl and handed her over to the family.
But this morning the girl disappeared again. After that the family reached the
police station and protested there. The family alleged that this is a case of
love jihad and the young man has kidnapped their girl. The officers reached there
and pacified the family by explaining things to them. ACP Abhishek Srivastava
says that the case is being investigated seriously and the accused will be
caught soon.
