30 July (HS): The body of a female constable was found on Wednesday on the side
of the highway in Masauli police station area of Barabanki district in Uttar
Pradesh. From the facts that came to light in the initial investigation, it is
suspected that the body was thrown here after the murder of the female
constable. On receiving information about the incident, Inspector General of
Police of Ayodhya Range Praveen Kumar, Superintendent of Police of Barabanki
Arpit Vijayvargiya reached with the force. With the help of the police, the
forensic team collected evidence from the spot.
Inspector
General of Police Praveen Kumar said that the body of the female constable
found on the side of the highway in Masauli police station area has been
identified as Vimlesh Pal (24), a resident of Sultanpur. She was a 2017 batch
constable and was posted in Subeha police station. At present, she was on
special duty in Ramnagar Mahadeva. On Wednesday morning, the body of the female
constable was found in uniform on the side of the highway. Police, which
reached the spot after receiving the information, has investigated the scene
with the forensic team and collected evidence.
The
IG said that in the preliminary investigation it has come to light that female
constable Vimlesh was in touch with a constable of the same department. In the
year 2024, she had accused a fellow constable of raping her in Barabanki
Kotwali. In her statement under 164 before the magistrate, the female constable
admitted that she has done court marriage; hence she does not want any action
on the accused. The IG said that based on the evidence found by the police
during the investigation, it is suspected that the female constable was
murdered with a specific motive. The body has been sent for post-mortem and
police teams have been deployed to search for the constable living with
Vimlesh. The case will be solved soon.
