Chelmsford, July 24 (H.S.): In the second youth test between England U19 and India U19 at County Ground, Chelmsford, Day 4 started with England at 93/0, having scored 309 in the first innings, while India replied with 279. England's opening batsmen, BJ Dawkins and Adam Thomas, scored 136 and 91 runs, respectively, leading to a declaration at 324. India was set a target of 355 runs to chase.

The visitors faced an early setback with opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi dismissed for a golden duck. However, skipper Ayush Mhatre steadied the innings with a remarkable 126 runs off 80 balls. His innings was crucial in stabilizing the chase. Other contributions included Vihaan Malhotra with 27 runs and Abhigyan Kundu, who scored 65 runs.

Harvansh Pangalia and Kanishk Chouhan finished unbeaten on 29 and 12 runs, respectively. India finished their second innings with 290 runs, losing six wickets. The match was eventually called off due to bad lighting and rain, resulting in a draw. Aditya Rawat was notable with the ball for India, taking four wickets.
