23 July (HS): Gorakshapeethadhiswar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed

Rudrabhishek at the ancient Mansarovar temple located in Andhiyari Bagh on the

Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi Tithi of the holy month of Sawan, Sawan Shivratri

(Wednesday). CM performed Rudrabhishek and prayed to Lord Bholenath for the

happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. In the ancient Mansarovar

temple, CM Yogi performed Rudrabhishek with water, cow milk and sugarcane juice

after offering Bel Patra, Lotus flower, Durva and many other worship materials

to Devadhidev Mahadev. The learned priests of Gorakhnath temple performed

Rudrabhishek with the Mahamantras of Rudrashtadhyayi of Shukla Yajurveda

Samhita. After Rudrabhishek, the Chief Minister completed the ritual by performing

Havan and Aarti amidst chanting of Vedic mantras.

He

prayed to Lord Mahadev for a healthy, happy, prosperous and peaceful life for

the people of the state. On this occasion, Gorakhnath Temple's head priest Yogi

Kamalnath, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLA Vipin

Singh, MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh etc. were also present.
