Delhi, 23 July (H.S.): The Government has initiated the modernization and expansion of Akashvani and Doordarshan Kendras (DDK) nationwide under the BIND scheme, with an outlay of Rs. 2,539.61 crore for 2021-26.
Key focuses include digitalization, replacement of outdated systems, infrastructure upgrades for studios and transmitters, and the adoption of new technologies.
In Bihar, projects have been approved, allocating Rs. 64.56 crore for Akashvani Kendras and Rs. 4.31 crore for Doordarshan Kendras modernization, as confirmed by Dr. L. Murugan in the Lok Sabha.
