First phase of SIR of Bihar Electoral Roll nearing completion

Delhi, 23 July (H.S.): As of 23 July 2025, 98.01% of electors have been covered, with 20 lakh deceased and 28 lakh permanently migrated electors reported. Additionally, 7 lakh electors are enrolled at multiple locations, 1 lakh are untraceable, and 15 lakh forms remain unreturned. A total of 7.17 crore electors' forms (90.89%) have been received and digitized. On 20th July, the lists of incorrectly included electors and those who haven't returned their enumeration forms were shared with 1.5 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from major political parties in Bihar.

Bihar electors temporarily residing outside the state can submit forms online at https://electors.eci.gov.in, through the ECINet mobile app, or via printed forms sent to BLOs through family members or WhatsApp.

Electors submitting their forms will see their names in the Draft Electoral Roll, and can track submissions at https://electors.eci.gov.in/home/enumFormTrack#. The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on August 1, 2025. Errors in the roll can be contested by electors or political parties until September 1, 2025, and claims from eligible persons who do not find their names can also be made by the same date.
