Delhi, 23 July (H.S.): The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), under the Ministry of Ayush, has launched the second edition of its CCRAS-PRAYATNA – Scientific Writing Workshop. This initiative targets Ayurveda postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral scholars, focusing on essential skills in scientific writing, manuscript development, and research publication. Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS, highlighted the initiative's aim to empower young Ayurveda researchers with strong writing capabilities, ensuring alignment with global publication standards. The program includes hands-on training and structured mentorship, affirming the importance of fostering high-quality scientific output.
Initiated in August 2024, the PRAYATNA workshop series aims to enhance the research ecosystem in Ayurveda by aligning academic research with international publishing norms. The workshops facilitate the transformation of thesis work into publishable articles. Key objectives include building scientific writing competencies and research visibility, ultimately contributing to a recognized evidence base in Ayurveda.
Following successful outcomes from the first session at Shri BMK KLE Ayurveda College, the second edition will occur at institutions selected via a national Expression of Interest (EOI) process. The multi-tiered structure includes webinars, article reviews, and a residential manuscript workshop for comprehensive and outcome-focused learning. Interested institutions can apply to host the workshop by submitting an EOI by August 15, 2025.
Additionally, CCRAS promotes evidence-based Ayurveda through reputed journals and structured programs for varied academic levels. Scientific Writing Workshops, including PRAYATNA, are critical to nurturing research culture and enhancing manuscript quality and publication success in Ayurveda.
