Patna, July 2(HS): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, at the BJP state executive meeting in Patna, emphasized the importance of party workers as creators of a golden Bihar. He characterized the meeting as a resolution assembly aimed at advancing both Bihar and India ahead of the forthcoming state assembly elections. Singh noted that public trust in politicians has waned due to discrepancies between leaders' promises and actions, yet he affirmed that the BJP remains committed to its pledges.

He highlighted the government's fulfillment of all manifesto promises and discussed his recent experiences at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, where Nalanda University was showcased as a cultural bridge between India and China, underscoring Bihar's historical significance.

Singh praised Bihar's rich heritage, referencing Patna as a land of scholars, the birthplace of important historical figures like Chanakya and Aryabhata, and the historical site of Pataliputra from which Emperor Ashoka spread messages of peace. He underscored the BJP's growth, describing it as a strong tree rooted in its grassroots workers, and acknowledged that the party is now the largest in the world.

The upcoming Bihar assembly elections are anticipated in October or November 2023, though official dates from the Election Commission have yet to be announced. While the opposition's INDIA bloc accounts for 111 members including 77 from RJD, followed by 19 from Congress, 11 from CPI (ML), 2 from CPI(M), and 2 from CPI.
