New Delhi, July 2 (H.S.): The I-Hub Foundation for Robotics (IHFC) at IIT Delhi will lead the Robotics for Good Youth Competition 2025 in collaboration with the UN's International Telecommunication Union. This initiative focuses on leveraging Robotics and AI for societal benefits. Following a successful 2024 competition in India, which provided a platform for children's creativity, the next national-level event is scheduled for October at Yashobhoomi, Bharat International Convention Centre, New Delhi. It will host industry experts from India and abroad.
The competition includes two age categories: children born from 2012 to 2016 and from 2008 to 2011. Participants can register alone or in teams of 2-8, with each team requiring a mentor aged 18 or older. The registration deadline is July 31. Winners will represent India at the international conference in Geneva in 2026. This year's theme is food security, focusing on cleanliness, nutrition, and food safety, while last year's theme was disaster management.
Project Director Professor Subir Kumar Saha emphasized the importance of nurturing future scientists through such initiatives. UN official Frederik Werner acknowledged the success of last year's event, which led to IHFC's continued role in organizing the competition.
